Michael Spencer is a renewable energy consultant, the author of the blog site Redesign the Paradigm, and is interested in finding solutions to society’s complex problems that are both economically viable and represent the greatest collective value. He holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Masters in International Management, served as an U.S. Navy SEAL, and has a background in military intelligence. He has traveled throughout the world conducting research on population’s socio-economic, political, and philosophical perspectives / belief systems, and how these belief systems contribute to a population’s geo-political and economic environment. He is married and the father of three young children and one Siberian Husky.
The author’s purpose for these blogs is to provide information and perspective on complex problems facing our society. His hopes are that these topics will stimulate the readers’ creative thought processes and critical thinking and they will contribute to the discussion. The goal is to uncover solutions and synergies that are economically viable and will represent the greatest value to humanity, as opposed to simply maintaining an unsustainable status quo. He believes that it is only through the combined efforts of numerous people, with diverse backgrounds, can we discover better and more sustainable solutions. He also believes that individuals must start taking responsibility for addressing the problems we currently face and take action to create different outcomes. Relying rigidly to old unproductive belief systems is in many cases, no longer serving our society.
Albert Einstein said it best, “We cannot solve our problems with the same mind set that created them.”
It is time to challenge ourselves to move beyond the idea that you or I are only one person, what can I do? Is not history filled with seemingly average people that have done extraordinary things?
