About the Author

Michael Spencer is the author of the blog site Redesign the Paradigm and associated radio talk show on Blog Talk Radio of the same name. He is interested in finding solutions to today’s complex problems that are facing humanity. He is married and the father of two children who have contributed to his desire to speak out in order to improve future conditions for them and for all people. He works for a large multinational corporation, and does consulting for renewable energy.  He holds a Masters in Business Administration and Masters in International Management. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Special Warfare operator and has a background in intelligence.  He has traveled throughout the world conducting research on population socio-economic, political, and philosophical perspectives / belief systems, and how these belief systems contribute to a population’s geo-political and economic environment.

The author’s purpose for these blogs and associated podcasts is to provide information and perspective, not just to present an opinion. His hopes are that these topics will stimulate the readers’ creative thought processes and critical thinking so they will contribute to the discussion.  The goal is to uncover solutions and synergies for complex problems that are both economically viable and represent the greatest value to humanity, as opposed to holding on to the status quo which may benefit only a select group. He believes that it is only through the combined efforts of numerous people, with diverse backgrounds, that we can discover better and more sustainable solutions. He also believes that individuals must start taking responsibility for addressing the problems we currently face and take action to create different outcomes. Relying on our old belief patterns, in many cases, no longer serves society as a whole.

Quoting Einstein, “We cannot solve our problems with the same mind set that created them.”

It is time to challenge ourselves to move beyond the idea that you or I are only one person, what can I do? Is not history filled with seemingly average people that have done extraordinary things?
